Physician-Led Telehealth Lifestyle Medicine · NY & VT
Physician-Led Lifestyle Medicine for Adults, Children & Families
Thoughtful, physician-led specialty care for people who want to prevent, treat, or help reverse chronic disease, and better understand what is shaping their health.
For adults, women in midlife, children, and families throughout New York and Vermont.
We look beyond individual numbers: your physiology, medical history, medications, nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, relationships, environment, culture, and the realities of your daily life.
That deeper understanding allows us to identify where meaningful change can happen and build the foundations that support better health over time.
Nourish and Thrive Medicine is a telehealth practice serving New York and Vermont. Limited in-person care may be available on a case-by-case basis when clinically appropriate.

Who this care is for
This care is for you if you are ready to change what happens next.
Living with insulin resistance, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or another chronic condition, and wanting to understand what can improve your health beyond simply adding another medication.
Working hard on your health but feeling stuck, or finding that visits keep returning to weight, laboratory values, and isolated numbers without enough understanding of what may be driving them.
In perimenopause or menopause and noticing changes in blood sugar, body composition, energy, sleep, cholesterol, or blood pressure, and wanting a more complete understanding.
Wanting to improve your health and, when medically appropriate, reduce medication needs through evidence-based lifestyle treatment.
Seeking thoughtful medical care for a child or adolescent with metabolic or lifestyle-related health concerns.
Wanting a physician who considers health in the context of the whole life.
The goal is better health, greater understanding, and more agency in the decisions that shape what happens next.
The Joyful Medicine Philosophy
Health should support a full life.
Joyful Medicine is Dr. Davis's approach to caring for the whole person, grounded in science and in the belief that health is supported by abundance, connection, culture, pleasure, purpose, and the rhythms of a life worth living.
That means food can be both medicine and joy. Movement can build strength and feel good. Rest is essential. Relationships and community matter. Culture belongs in the conversation. And the habits that support health should make room for living, not require life to revolve around managing health.
We use the science of Lifestyle Medicine to strengthen the foundations that allow the body to function well, while honoring the person, the life, and the values those foundations are meant to support.
Because the goal isn't simply to live longer. It's to live well.
- Food as Medicine
- An abundance of fiber-rich whole foods: beans and legumes, vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts and seeds, herbs and spices, with flavor, culture, pleasure, and nourishment at the center.
- Movement & Strength
- Movement that supports insulin sensitivity, cardiovascular health, muscle, function, energy, and longevity, shaped around what your body can do and what you can continue.
- Sleep & Restoration
- Sleep, recovery, stress physiology, and nervous-system health influence metabolic and cardiovascular health and are integrated into your care.
- Environment, Relationships & Daily Life
- Health happens within a life. Your routines, responsibilities, relationships, culture, home, work, and environment all influence what becomes sustainable.
The purpose is to give you a clearer understanding of your health and a strong foundation for making informed choices that support it.
The Care Model
More time for the kind of care this requires.
Lifestyle Medicine often requires more than a brief office visit.
Nourish and Thrive Medicine is a cash-pay specialty practice, which allows for longer visits and more time to understand your history, concerns, goals, and the factors influencing your health.
Your consultation is designed to create space for thoughtful medical evaluation, education, shared decision-making, and a personalized plan you understand.
Summer Lifestyle Medicine Intensive
Change the trajectory of your health now, and build the foundation for how you want to live in the years ahead.
Ready to reverse insulin resistance and rebuild your metabolic health?
The Summer Lifestyle Medicine Intensive is for patients ready to make a focused commitment to changing the course of their metabolic health.
We evaluate what is contributing to insulin resistance, blood sugar changes, energy, blood pressure, cholesterol, metabolic weight changes, sleep, stress, movement, nutrition, muscle health, and the environment in which daily habits take shape.
The goal is meaningful metabolic improvement, stronger foundations, and greater confidence in how to support your health going forward.

About Dr. Jennifer Davis
Jennifer Davis, MD, FAAP, DipABLM
Medical experience, scientific curiosity, and a whole-person view of health.
Dr. Jennifer Davis is triple board-certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine, with more than 25 years of experience in medicine, including 15 years practicing pediatric critical care.
Her years in intensive care gave her a deep respect for modern medicine, technology, and the extraordinary ability of the human body to survive and recover. Lifestyle Medicine expanded that perspective by bringing greater attention to the everyday conditions that shape health long before someone becomes critically ill.
She holds additional training in plant-based nutrition through the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and in culinary coaching through Harvard CHEF Coaching.
Her approach combines medical science with curiosity about the whole person. She considers physiology and laboratory findings alongside food, movement, sleep, stress, relationships, culture, environment, life stage, and what matters to the individual sitting in front of her.
Dr. Davis's philosophy of Joyful Medicine brings these perspectives together: rigorous medical science, deep respect for human physiology, and the understanding that health exists within a real life.
Her approach is abundant, culturally honoring, weight-inclusive, and life-affirming. She helps patients understand what is happening in their bodies, recognize where they have influence, and build foundations that support both better health and a fuller life.
